Erm I think you are mistaken, that criticism came from writers at Official Playstation Magazine, not CVG. They are just reporting news which is hardly bashing GT5
I like that they are adding the latest cars coming out but they still seem to be missing the Vauxhall VXR8 which is an absolute mental car!
Even crazier details on the faces! Right down to the pores and sweat/grease.
Judging by these screens I think we have a new graphics king, beating even Crysis!

Operation Flashpoint and Armed Assault trounce Reach in that regard, you can have hundreds of dynamic infantry and vehicles on a free-roaming kilometers wide island and no loading at the same time in the same place.
Although the graphics and AI do somewhat suffer for it meaning that you either get stupid team mates or enemies that can do the impossible turning it into utter mayhem but still fun.
The lack of Porsche wouldn't bother me much in any case, they all look almost identical to me apart from the Panamera and the Carrera.
For me in the UK I would prefer to see more cars that I drive next to everyday on the roads such as your Vauxhalls, BMW, Audi, Renault, Fords, Citreons, Honda, Mazda etc.
But please have a Vauxhall VXR8, the Monaro just doesnt do it for me!
The textures were very much like that in the first aswell, Bioware seem to pay more time and attention to the character details than the enviroment to make the interaction between them feel more like a movie.
It doesnt bother me, I'm currently enjoying Dragon Age which doesnt look that great even on a PC because I'm more compelled with the actual story.
So what you are saying is that because during the christmas season where numerous parents who outnumber the hardcore gamers are buying their children games which to you are not worthy of your time, everybody in the UK is an imbecile.

For those who keep repeating "It's not a demo its a time trial only" you are wrong. Load it up and you will find the splash screen which says that it in fact is if you can be bothered.
But anyways I am extremely impressed with the interior visuals, having played Forza 3 for the past few months I can say that in terms of lighting its a big leap over the lifeless interior in that game. The details themselves also seem to be much finer and distinct. Without a decent whee...
If everybody thought like you then we would have no games to play, competition is a good thing as it makes the developers up their game and try to come out on top of the opposition.
Call of Duty & Medal of Honour is a good example of where the original creators split off, copied the gameplay of MoH, but to me improved it. Perhaps some people still prefer MoH though.
Dante's Inferno might be clone but that doesnt mean PS3 owner cant buy it and enjoy it, maybe ...

I agree with you, a nice 2 min video of true gameplay would have been nice and not too long to spoil any of the story even if after reading the books we know most of whats going to happen.

Yeah I remember those adverts saying something like they were representative of graphics or gameplay, on both accounts they were wrong really which was a shame. Maybe on the PC or next consoles but not the 360.

I too agree with PirateThom in that although I really like Gears the gameplay in the sequel had become a bit stale, the vehicular felt as though it was tacked on and not done very well.
I did like the new way they did the boss battles where you had to hit certain buttons in time but I think that it needs to be expanded on and be more like the way it is in GOW and UC
Yeah it was probably the best line-up I have ever seen on the show. The coolness of both Jezza & Laurence Fishburne, the always comical Peter Kay and then topped off with two of the best tracks from the new album by Muse. All of that with one of the best British hosts means guaranteed good viewing.
Its just so easy to come home from the pub, boot up iPlayer up on my PS3 and catch up on what I missed.
I agree. Maybe I'm just not that good at it but I hate the fact that on Halo 3 multiplayer somebody can just respawn near you, then run directly at you firing with whatever weapon he/she has began with jumping up and down until they are close enough to melee. All the while you are shooting at them trying to hit only to run out of ammo as they get into melee range leaving you to just throw a punch and hope that your strike lands before theirs. In that instance maybe its just luck!
I liked almost everything about GTAIV, especially the way it took a more serious and realistic tone.
But the character you played just bored me to death, his life was dull and it felt like a chore having to go out and do missions as him, especially as most of the missions themselves were tedious and had very little fun in them.
To me Vice City will remain the best GTA I have ever played, if the next GTA can be more like that then it would be perfect for me. I lov...
I believe that Halo 3 definately was highly overrated, but I still enjoy the hell out of it for what it is, and will buy Reach on release.
And I agree with Saaking aswell, Halo 3 and WiiSports are in no way classic status games.
Microsoft really need to get their act together, they should stop using services that should be free to justify paying a subscription fee for Xbox Live.
If iPlayer, Facebook and Twitter are free on everything else including the competitions console what makes Microsoft think they can be a special exception to the rules and make money from them. I say good on the BBC for standing their ground for a change.
Ah well, I shall just have to continue using my PS3 and PC...

Neither of those links you've posted mention a parity in graphics, they are mainly about the fact that Microsoft is stifling the creativity of developers because the policy wont allow them to make use of the blu-ray disc by adding extra content/features.
The policy states:
"Titles for Xbox 360 must ship at least simultaneously with other video game platform, and must have at least feature and content parity on-disc"
